Yes, and PC is best. This April 2026 release was supported by the major emulators within weeks: Citron NEO's 2026-04-27 build fixed rendering and audio crashes (listed as Playable), Eden v0.2.0 fixed it not booting, and Ryubing Canary 1.3.270-1.3.292 fixed photo crashes, missing services and AMD rendering. PC users mostly report 30fps, but once the island has lots of buildings and Miis, Ryubing stutters badly (unfixed); both Eden and Citron NEO have reports of random VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST crashes after 10-15 minutes, still unfixed in the latest nightlies as of October 30, 2026. On Apple Silicon Macs, Ryubing and Astris have smooth 30fps reports, while nxnative (a native port tool, not an emulator) only reaches character creation with invisible Miis; MeloNX on iPhone/iPad crashes when typing text, with users advising to wait for an official update, and Android phones with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or newer mostly run it at 30fps on Eden.
Settings & known issues
- Flickering buildings and faces on Citron NEO: set CPU accuracy to Paranoid (compatibility issue #61).
- Ryubing Canary 1.3.349 crashes when feeding a Mii; 1.3.341 is fine (issue #487).
- Use at least Ryubing Canary 1.3.292 (fixes AMD path rendering); photo crashes were fixed in 1.3.270.
- Use at least Eden v0.2.0 (fixed booting and the on-screen keyboard); random Device Lost crashes after 10-15 minutes were still unfixed as of 2026-10-30, so save often (issue #704).
- MeloNX crashes when you need to type, such as naming the island; users suggest waiting for an official update.
