Mostly not, and it depends on the game version. Ryubing lists it as Nothing (crashes, relies on online services) and the yuzu archive as Menus. On Eden, version 1.0.x is reported playable at 50-60fps on PC, while the latest update only shows a black screen; MeloNX on iPad runs the old Switch Minecraft (Legacy Edition) with noticeable input lag. The native Switch 2 edition released on October 27, 2026 (Title ID 04008A90274EC000) doesn't run on Switch 1 emulators; as of November 4, 2026 the only report is from the unofficial Eden Switch 2 fork Eglantine (not affiliated with the Eden team), where build 77 on Linux shows only a black screen with version 1.26.60. No public Mac or Android tests were found.
Settings & known issues
- On Eden the latest update gives a black screen; the 1.0.x base game runs (user report).
- Ryubing's official list says it depends on online services and local wireless doesn't work.
- The native Switch 2 edition (04008A90274EC000) and the Switch 1 version are separate programs; Switch 1 emulators can only run the Switch 1 version.
