Yes, and both PC and Mac have 60fps results, and an iPad can finish a race, though everything is still experimental. As of November 5, 2026, official Eden builds still don't support this Switch 2 exclusive; what runs it are the unofficial Eden forks released since October 29 (Eglantine, Lichii, PokeDinner and others, not affiliated with the Eden team) and the native port tool nxnative. On PC, DSOGaming reports that the YouTube channel Unreal Gaming PC recorded 12 minutes on Eglantine build 135 with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 4080 at 60fps across several tracks, with occasional stutter. Most user reports land at 30-45fps (a median of about 38fps in 24-racer races on a GPD WIN 5 handheld, about 32fps on an RX 5700 with GPU accuracy set to Low), and others describe slow motion, black textures, freezing on the loading screen after the first cup, and crashes after a few minutes. Eglantine v0.1.0-rc1 (November 4) has several reports of being much slower (an RTX 4070 went from 30-50fps on build 212 to 7-10fps), and users recommend staying on build 212 for now. On Linux, AMD GPUs crash the graphics driver on the loading screen, which disabling mesh shaders works around. LAN room play works from Eglantine build 167, build 194 adds a 30fps mode and dynamic frame rate just for this game (both off by default), and build 212 fixes NUP-packed copies of version 1.8.0 hanging at 0fps. On Mac, nxnative (not an emulator: it turns the game into a native app, and it is only officially tested on Mac) added this game on November 4: its game page says an M6 Mac with 16GB finishes the first 50cc race at 60fps, a user on an M4 Pro also gets 60fps in Free Roam on version 1.8.0, and the Lichii fork's build 70 reports 30-38fps in races on an M4 Pro. On an iPad Pro M5 (12GB per-process memory limit), nxnative finished a full 3-lap race at 60fps after the first corner, while iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are closed by the system at the roughly 8GB memory limit when the first race loads. On Android, the developer of Banana Native (a community Android port of nxnative, unrelated to the official nxnative project and to nx2android) says version 1.8.0 gets in game and driving but with many graphics problems; the Android fork Eden SX2A reports only 6-10fps in its own notes and stopped updating on November 2. Release builds of Switch 1 emulators (Ryubing, Citron NEO, MeloNX and others) cannot play it.
Settings & known issues
- Official Eden releases and nightlies don't support Switch 2 games; what runs it are unofficial forks and a native port tool with no connection to the Eden team.
- The first load of each track takes a long time (shader compilation); from Eglantine build 158, the first launch of this game offers recommended settings (handheld mode by default, ScaleForce + FXAA).
- From Eglantine build 194, Graphics → Advanced has two options just for this game, "30 FPS mode" and "dynamic FPS (experimental)"; both are off by default and take effect after restarting the game (release notes).
- AMD GPUs have user reports of crashing while loading or at the start of a race on most forks; on Linux it's the AMDGPU driver crashing on the loading screen (Eglantine issues #341 and #367), and disabling mesh shaders works around it: on v0.1.0-rc1, setting the environment variable EDEN_NX2_NO_MESH=1 stops the full GPU crash on RX 7000 series cards (#585, confirmed by a second user).
- Eglantine v0.1.0-rc1 (Nov 4) has several user reports of slower performance; build 212 is a safer choice for now.
- Eglantine build 212 fixed NUP-packed copies of version 1.8.0 being treated as a Switch 1 game and hanging at 0fps (the developer says it reaches the title screen at about 30fps; full races weren't tested).
- NVIDIA users report stutter and audio crackling in races from Eglantine build 117 on (issue #278).
- LAN room play works from Eglantine build 167 (release notes).
- nxnative on Mac has user reports on version 1.8.0 since Nov 4 (60fps in Free Roam on an M4 Pro, issue #1186); the reporter of 16GB Macs crashing out of video memory after long sessions hasn't crashed since a Nov 4 commit (#1193).
- On iPhone, nxnative is limited by iOS's per-process memory cap: iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max (about 8GB) are closed by the system when the first race loads, while an iPad Pro with a 12GB cap finishes races (#1184, #1237).
- EglantineEmu/Eglantine-Switch-Emulator on GitHub is an impostor repository, not the Eglantine project.
