Nintendo Switch 2
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
ゼルダ無双 封印戦記 · ZELDA無雙 封印戰記
- Perfect: No noticeable issues start to finish
- Playable: Can be finished; minor glitches or slowdowns
- In-game: Gets in-game, but issues get in the way
- Menus: Reaches the title screen or menus only
- Boots: Starts, then hangs on a black screen or intro
- Nothing: Does not start
It gets in-game but isn't really playable: as of November 5, 2026 there are user reports, and most stop at the first battle or the second mission. This Switch 2 exclusive is still unsupported by official Eden builds and other Switch 1 emulators. The unofficial Eden fork Eglantine (not affiliated with the Eden team) shows gameplay from build 158 (November 3). In user reports, a Ryzen 5 5500 + RTX 3060 Ti finished the first mission after switching the CPU setting from Unsafe to Auto but crashed again in the second; RX 9000 series and RTX 5080 users crash as soon as the first battle starts, and on an RTX 5090 laptop and others the second mission (underground) is pitch black except for subtitles. A Bilibili creator says Eglantine's 2xx builds play it best and that v0.1.0-rc1 (November 4) doesn't. The author of the Orchid fork reports 60fps on Linux (RX 9070 XT) once shaders have compiled. On Mac, the native port tool nxnative (not an emulator: it turns the game into a native app, and it is only officially tested on Mac) added this game on November 3: its game page says it reaches the first field at a 16.6ms median frame time (about 60fps) on a 16GB Mac, but battles haven't been reached, and an M5 Max user had the whole system's display freeze twice, requiring a forced shutdown. There is no iPhone build and no Android test result.
Settings & known issues
- If the first mission won't finish, switch the CPU setting from Unsafe to Auto (that's how the reporter of Eglantine #386 got through it).
- In the second mission (underground) the screen is pitch black except for subtitles and the flashlight doesn't render; the scene only shows while paused (#418, #482).
- Eglantine v0.1.0-rc1 has several user reports of slower performance, so build 212 is a safer choice for now: rc1 ships the original change from PR #535, which according to PR #561 drops this game from 42-57fps to about 2fps and then freezes as soon as a battle starts, and #561's fix was reverted 12 minutes later. A Bilibili creator also says 2xx builds play this game best and rc1 doesn't.
- One cause of the very blurry picture (#402) is a mistranslation in the game's FSR1 shader; build 212 fixed that class of bug (H0_NH1), but nobody has confirmed it's resolved.
- nxnative on Mac has a report of the whole system's display freezing, twice requiring a forced shutdown (#1223, M5 Max).
- What runs it are unofficial forks and a native port tool, unrelated to the Eden team; official Eden releases and nightlies don't support it.
