Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is playable: EmuReady rates Eden 0.1.1 Playable on a Steam Deck OLED (30fps in towns, 45 in dungeons, 60 in battle), and Eden on Android handhelds like the Retroid Pocket 6 and RP Flip 2 has Playable and Perfect (30fps) reports. On PC, a video shows Eden 0.0.4-rc2 with a patch at 4K/60fps on an RTX 4090, and Ryubing Canary 1.3.234 is playable on a GTX 1650 laptop (Linux) after fixing random crashes. Kenji-NX 2.0.5 on Android only boots. As of November 1, 2026, no public emulator test with results was found for iPhone or Mac, and the game is still not on the Ryubing or Citron NEO official lists or in the yuzu archive.
Settings & known issues
- On Steam Deck, set Eden's GPU mode to Accurate (EmuReady report).
- If cutscenes turn white on Eden 0.0.4-rc2, switch the filter to MMPX (issue #153).
- Use Ryubing Canary 1.3.234 or newer, which fixed random crashes.
